Provides Orchard CMS UI exposing Social Metadata (e.g. Facebook Open Graph, Twitter Cards, etc.). Default (via tokens) to content type or override on item.
Rework.SocialMetadata developed out of the frustration of having Facebook "randomly" select imagery from my Orchard CMS websites. This solution provides a lot of flexibility to have each content type automatically assigned the proper metadata via tokens (with the ability to override on each content item). How it works:
- The content type defaults are stored in the Social Metadata Content Part - so you can start there if you like (I tried to provde a generic default setting
- When you add this Social Metadata Content Part to your Content Type you can set the default settings for that content type
- Each Content Item will also have the ability to override this default to give you full control
- The Content Part is analyzed on page load (expanding the tokens if you use them) and the information is injected into the page metadata
